SHIPPING

Most domestic orders ground ship for $8 (excludes furniture and large items). Lightweight items (such as tea towels) ship for $3.50. Shipping prices for larger, heavier items are marked on the individual product pages.

Most orders ship within 3 business days from the purchase date. Our handmade products are designed and crafted by small, independent designers in limited quantities and may be delayed 5-7 business days if not in stock. Delay info will be listed on the product's page.

Once an order has shipped, we'll send you a confirmation email. Ground shipping can take up to 5 business days, though most orders arrive within 3 days of their ship date.  (Back to top)

 

PACKAGING

We hate to see good trees die unnecessarily! That's why we ship orders in recycled kraft paper and cardboard, shred made of paper scraps and old design magazines, and our own custom cushioning made in-house out of heat-sealed plastic grocery bags filled with our shred mix. Bubble wrap is used as needed to keep your purchases safe! Many handmade items come in their own packaging, most of which is recylced, compostable, or even plantable! Get creative and reuse or recycle the packaging any way you can. (Back to top)

 

GIFT WRAPPING

Purchasing a gift?  Contact us at shop@apt528.com and we'll work with you to make sure your present is perfectly wrapped. Items are wrapped in brown kraft paper and tied with colorful yarn pom poms. Your gift tag (optional) will be attached.  Note: some handmade items come directly from the designer and may arrive in different wrapping. (Back to top)

 

PICKUP

Local customers can pick up orders at from our shop at 2620 W North Ave in Chicago. We'll contact you as soon as your order is ready to be picked up. (Back to top)

FURNITURE/LARGE ITEMS

Purchasing furniture online can be a hassle, which is why we try to offer as many options as possible.

  • Ground Shipping  - most lamps and small furniture can ship ground. If ground shipping is available, pricing will be on the product's page.
  • Greyhound Bus Lines - Want to save a few bucks? Greyhound offers affordable furniture shipping that's often cheaper than other options. The kicker: you are responsible for picking up the order at your local Greyhound station. Visit the Greyhound website to find the location nearest you.
  • White Glove Delivery - Looking to splurge a little and pamper your furniture? Try white glove service and your new piece will be hand-delivered inside your home to its cozy new spot. (domestic orders only). To choose this option, please call us at 312.970.1528 or email shop@apt528.com before purchase.
  • Chicago Pickup & Delivery - Local customers can choose to pickup their orders here in Chicago (2620 W North Ave, 60647). Chicagoland delivery is also available via our partner Schlep. For more details, check the delivery section.

INTERNATIONAL

Apartment 528 ships internationally!  International customers are responsible for any fees that may come up at customs. Due to various customs regulations in each country, Apt528 cannot guarantee the delivery date of international orders.

RETURNS

All sales are final. Orders damaged during shipping are handled on a case-by-case basis and will receive store credit less shipping. Send pictures of the damage to orders@apt528.com within 14 days of receipt. (Back to top)
